ABOUT ADMIN ACCESS

Administrator Access

With all Websites by Jane's affordable, low cost websites you, the owner of the site, will be given administrator access, after all, its your site!

You can also give access to other people to help manage your new affordable, low cost website and run your business. These people are called 'contributors'. Each contributor needs to have their own account. On your request, I will create one for free and send them an invite.

You may give your contributors permission to access only what's relevant to them. You define your contributor's permissions by giving them a specific role.

You can read more about each role below.

1. ADMIN ACCESS

This permission is for you, as the site owner, and is also available to someone who helps you manage all aspects of your business. This may be a business partner or an employee.

An admin can

  • Access your site's Editor and make changes to your site (you can limit their permissions so that they cannot publish these changes).

  • View and manage any information on your site's dashboard.

  • Interact with your contacts via newsletters.

  • Create blogs and post to social media.

2. BACK OFFICE MANAGER

Give this permissions to someone who helps you manage your business, but does not need to edit your website. Contributors with this role will be able to view and manage sensitive and business information.

A back office manager can

  • View and manage any information on your site's dashboard.

  • View and manage store orders, bookings or paid plans.

  • Interact with your contacts via newsletters.

  • Create blogs and post to social media.

3. WEBSITE MANAGER

Give this permissions to someone helping you create or redesign your site. This role lets the contributor edit your website, but limits what they can access in your site's dashboard to prevent them viewing sensitive and business information.

A website manager can

  • Access your site's Editor and make changes to your site (you can limit their permissions so that they cannot publish these changes).

  • Manage your site's SEO settings.

  • View and set up Automations.

  • Access limited parts of your site's dashboard:

    • View and edit your store products, but cannot view store orders.

    • View and edit booking services, but cannot view your booking calendar.

    • View and edit paid plans, but cannot view purchased plans.

4. BLOG EDITOR OR WRITER

Give this permissions to anyone helping you manage your blog.

A Blog Editor has full access to every feature in the Blog Manager including publishing, deleting, and editing blog posts and managing categories. A Blog Writer can write and manage posts, manage comments and more.
